So Kids’ Week is coming up soon (http://www.kidsweek.co.uk), and if you own one or two of the little bundles of joy, you may be tempted to indulge yourselves in a trip to the theatre. But which show to pick? With every grown-up critic telling you that their favourite show is a guaranteed kid pleaser, it’s hard to decide. But upon leaving Matilda last Friday with my little brother, he and I agreed that it is still the best kid friendly show to see, even after 5 years of running. And who is better qualified to tell you why than my maggot brother himself! So, without further ado, here’s:
10 Questions to a 10-year-old about Matilda The Musical
At the interval:
Michael, because he’s just so random.
Naughty, because that’s what I think in everything.
Tell me something that you want me to include on the blog?
Loved the scene where his hair turns green! How does he do it?!
After the show, at the station:
Out of 10, what would you give Matilda The Musical?
9 and 7/8.
Compared to other plays, the set and the characters are so amazing, they really burst out at you like you weren’t expecting it,… turns to me …you bookworm.
The maggot laughs to himself.
New favourite character?
Nope, still Michael.
What made you laugh the most?
When Miss Trunchbull came out at the end.
Do you think other people should come and see the show?
I think from about 8 to 50, people would like it. (Personally, I think you could be 1,000,000 years old and still have a magical evening.)
What’s special about the show?
It’s really original, it’s completely different.
Can you sum it up in one word?
Well, there you have it! We both totally loved the show, and urge you all to head up to London and see it as soon as you can if you haven’t already. And if you have… be naughty, go again!
